Pershore High School - a history

Pershore County Senior School opened its doors for the first time on Tuesday 12th January 1932. It could accommodate 480 children, all of whom had to have attained the age of 11 years. The new school should have welcomed its first pupils in the previous September, but there were problems with builders, and so it was to be a term later that the 430 boys and girls met the headmaster, Mr. M.L. Pardoe, and his 13 teachers. As recorded in Mr. Pardoe’s handwritten log, the staff list was as follows....
